Какая кодировка установлена? Псевдографика всегда выглядит уродски, если шрифтом не старая добрая cp866. Такчто акромя руссификации линуха надо ещё и переконвертирование делать.
тоессь делаем так: 1) Отображаемый шрифт ставим cp866 2) Ставим перекодировку koi2alt (если используется koi8-r, если UTF-8, то там чтото другое)
